As autumn settles over the Tuscan hills, the vineyards around San Gimignano take on their golden colours, and the medieval towers rise above a landscape that seems almost untouched by time.
On the last night of October, however, a different kind of atmosphere awaits. Behind the stone walls of Tenuta Torciano Winery, candlelit tables, wine barrels and the aromas of Tuscan cooking set the scene for an evening of elaborate costumes, music and theatrical performances.
Here, Halloween is less about haunted houses and more about a celebration of food, wine and spectacle. On 31 October 2026, the winery will host its Halloween Dinner Show & Masquerade Ball, bringing together a multi-course Tuscan dinner, local wine tasting, live entertainment and dancing into the night.
An Evening with a Darkly Delicious Twist
The menu stays close to the region's culinary traditions, with a few seasonal additions. Dinner opens with Tuscan cheeses, cured meats and bruschetta, followed by pumpkin risotto with blue cheese and Florentine crespelle filled with sausage and stracchino cheese, served with saffron sauce.
The main course features roast porchetta with oven-roasted potatoes and pumpkin flan, while tiramisù and dessert wine bring the meal to a close. Wine is equally important to the experience, with a tasting that includes Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, Chianti DOCG, Morellino di Scansano DOCG, Cavaliere Super Tuscan Reserve, Bartolomeo Super Tuscan Reserve, alongside rosé and dessert wine.
Beyond the food and wine, live music and theatrical performances accompany the dinner, before the celebration continues with a DJ set and dancing. The atmosphere of a traditional Tuscan winery meets the theatrical spirit of Halloween, with elaborate costumes adding to the occasion. Guests are encouraged to dress up, although costumes are optional.
