Corrections & Removal

You may contact us about:

• A factual error, including an incorrect name, date, location or description
• Information that has become materially outdated
• A quotation or statement that has been inaccurately presented
• Incorrect authorship, attribution or image credits
• Text, photographs or other material used without appropriate permission
• Personal information that creates a legitimate privacy or safety concern
• Content that may be unlawful, defamatory or otherwise infringe your rights
• A significant undisclosed conflict of interest
• Another serious concern relating to published Dineest content

A difference of opinion, an unfavourable description or dissatisfaction with editorial coverage will not normally be sufficient reason to remove accurate content.

Please use the subject line: Correction or removal request — [article title]

Include:

• Your full name
• Your email address and, where relevant, your role or organisation
• A link to the relevant article or page
• A clear description of the information you believe should be reviewed
• The correction, update or action you are requesting
• Reliable supporting evidence, where available
• An explanation of your connection to the content

If you are acting on behalf of another person, business or organisation, please confirm that you are authorised to represent them.

Please do not send identity documents, private financial information or other sensitive documents unless we specifically request them.

The Dineest editorial team will assess the published content, the information provided in the request and any relevant supporting sources.

We may:

• Ask for additional information or evidence
• Contact the author, contributor or another relevant party
• Correct a factual error
• Add clarification or updated information
• Correct attribution or image credits
• Replace or remove an image
• Add an editorial note
• Restrict access to or remove content
• Decide that no change is required

The appropriate response will depend on the nature and seriousness of the issue.

Minor spelling, formatting or typographical errors that do not change the meaning of an article may be corrected without an editorial note. Material factual changes may be identified with a correction or update notice.

Dineest does not normally remove accurate editorial content solely because it is no longer favourable, convenient or current.

Removal may be considered where there is a substantial reason, including:

• A clear legal obligation
• A serious privacy or safety risk
• Copyright or other rights infringement
• Material that cannot be adequately corrected
• Information shown to be materially false or misleading
• Exceptional circumstances where continued publication would cause disproportionate harm

Where appropriate, we may correct, update, anonymise or restrict particular material instead of removing the entire article.

Search engines and third-party platforms may retain cached copies or links after content has been changed or removed from Dineest. Dineest cannot directly control copies held by independent third parties.

If your request concerns text, photography, video or other copyrighted material, please identify:

• The material concerned
• Where it appears on Dineest
• The name of the copyright owner
• Your relationship to the copyright owner
• Why you believe its use is unauthorised
• Any relevant licence or ownership information

Submitting incomplete or knowingly misleading ownership claims may delay our review.

Requests involving personal information will be considered in accordance with applicable data protection law and the Dineest Privacy Policy.

Please explain what personal information is involved, where it appears and why you believe it should be corrected, restricted or removed.

Privacy requests relating to personal data may require a different verification process from ordinary editorial correction requests.

We will acknowledge reasonable requests as soon as practicable and aim to review them promptly.

Complex requests, legal issues or cases requiring additional verification may take longer. Repeated emails about the same request will not necessarily speed up the review.

If an urgent request concerns an immediate and serious risk to someone's safety, clearly state this in the email subject line.

Where an article has been materially corrected or updated, Dineest may add a note explaining the change.

We may retain an internal record of correction and removal requests where reasonably necessary for editorial administration, dispute handling, legal compliance and the protection of Dineest's legitimate interests.
